Áron Gunst is a Hungarian-born film composer based in the Netherlands, working across feature film and long-form narrative.
He composed the scores for Loverboy and its sequel Loverboy 2, continuing a collaboration that followed the success of the first film, which became the most successful Dutch cinema release of 2024.
Áron’s musical language bridges classical sensibility with contemporary sonic exploration. Influenced early on by Bartók and Bach, his approach to film scoring is rooted in structure, emotional architecture, and tactile performance. He often blends orchestral writing with expressive electronic instruments to create character-driven, physically nuanced scores.
Since 2021, he has composed music for short films, drama series and feature productions, collaborating closely with directors to shape cohesive musical worlds from first theme to final mix.
Alongside his composing work, Áron maintains a deep connection to education. As a piano teacher and mentor, he continues to refine his understanding of musical storytelling — a practice that informs and strengthens his compositional voice.
